If you are passionate about gastronomy and love discovering new flavors, then you cannot miss this tour in the city, a culinary journey through the incredible city of Santa Marta. Where each stop has a unique story to tell, in addition, you will delight your senses with authentic traditional food. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the true essence of Samarian gastronomy!
  • Arrival Time: 7:00 a.m.
    Start Time: 7:30 a.m.
    End Time: 10:30 a.m.

We will start this experience once all our scheduled visitors are at Casa Marina, where we can enjoy the showroom, take a fun photo in our mural, and taste a delicious cup of coffee from the Sierra Nevada to start the activity.

Subsequently, in our assigned vehicle, we will depart for our first gastronomic destination, which has been serving the Samarian community and visitors for more than 49 years. The dish at this place is a Colombian arepa de huevo known throughout Colombia, but it has an unbeatable flavor with its Samarian ingredients and seal. Here we will also discover which drink has been used for a long time to accompany this delicious food.

We will continue the route towards a point in the Santa Marta Market where we can observe the daily life of the merchants, learn a bit about the history and how the place was restored, and see the transformation process of the hundreds of families who work in the heart of the city. This place has become a tradition to have a good fish soup every Sunday or at lunchtime, so we will learn how it is prepared.

As we love to enjoy new things, we will go to a place where we will taste a delicious dish based on patacón and fish, learn how this culinary recipe is prepared, and learn more about the Samarian gastronomic traditions. We will walk around the market, and the guide will provide information about the local products, harvest seasons, and we can also take photos and buy the foods we like the most with an interesting activity.

Our next stop will be to taste one of the Magdalena's flagship dishes, mote de guineo or Cayeye, as it is known. This culinary discovery has a painful event in 1928 in Ciénaga and is also important in Gabriel García Márquez's texts.

We will continue our tour towards our penultimate stop, a point that has been recently established to improve the working conditions of a group of city merchants who have been specializing in delicious natural drinks for a long time. Besides learning a bit about the place's infrastructure and taking a souvenir photo at an insta-worthy point in the city.

Finally, Visiters, we will take a short vehicle tour of the Bay's Camellón until we return to Vívolo Café, where we will have a special house drink.
