Dwellings dating from 650 AD and species inhabiting only the Sierra Nevada. Stop thinking about it and discover this wonderful destination with us. It is necessary to have a good physical condition since the hikes have approximately 7 to 8 hours of duration a day.

    Day 1:
    - Route: Santa Marta • Mamey • Adán or Alfredo Camp
    This wonderful experience begins with the transportation route from the hotel or lodging for three hours by 4×4 car to Mamey, once in this splendid town surrounded by nature we will have a delicious lunch and hike for four hours to the Adán or Alfredo camp, here we will spend the night in hammocks or beds with mosquito nets to rest and we will have dinner.

    Day 2:
    - Route: Camp Adán or Alfredo • Mutanzi • Paraíso Teyuna Camp
    The day begins with a wonderful traditional breakfast and with an early departure from Camp Adán or Alfredo, to take a two-hour walk to the Mutanzi indigenous town where we will learn a little about them and their culture and then start another 40-minute hike to the Mumake camp, where we can enjoy a delicious hot lunch and rest from the hike.
    Once recharged with energy, we will walk for four hours until we reach the Mamo Romualdo camp (Paraíso Teyuna) and where we will spend the night and rest from the day's journey sleeping in hammocks or beds and finally having dinner at the camp.

    Day 3:
    - Route: Teyuna Paradise Camp • Lost City • Mumake Camp
    On this day we will be able to admire the nature of this beautiful nature reserve and have an appetizing breakfast. Then we will start the hike from the Paraíso Teyuna camp, climbing for approximately one hour to the Lost City. Once in the heart of the Sierra Nevada we will take a two-hour walk to discover the archaeological, ethnological and historical zone and free time to enjoy the place and the healing energy of the mountain.
    After resting and spending some time in this wonderful and magical place, we will return to the Paraíso Teyuna camp and have a delicious lunch. . Later we will start the return trip with a 4 hour hike to Mumake camp where we will rest and have dinner.

    Day 4:
    - Route: Mumake Camp • Alfredo or Adán Camp - Ecological Walk
    After breakfast, we will end our stay at the camp to start a 4-hour hike to the camp where we will rest. Here we will have lunch and have free time to enjoy beautiful waterfalls and unique landscapes.
    We will enjoy the last night in this wonderful place in hammocks or beds, and with a hot dinner in the camp.

    Day 5:
    - Route: Camp Alfredo • Mamey • Santa Marta
    We will start the day with an early traditional breakfast and we will start the final trip from Mumake camp for a 3 hour hike to Mamey, where we will have lunch and finish the hike. We will return to Santa Marta in a 4×4 car for 3 hours to the hotel.

  • Discounts for children are not applied on the Lost City tour.
    You will have a maximum of 24 hours to cancel the service and only bank and administrative surcharges will be applied.
    In case of rescheduling, you must check availability to modify the reservation date with a minimum of 24 hours previous to the service, which will be subject to the number of spaces available on the required dates. Visit Santa Marta reserves the right to recognize reasons of force majeure.
    Once the service has been requested to be rescheduled and the client decides to cancel it less than 24 hours before the service is rendered, a charge of 100% of the contracted amount will be applied.
    No Show is considered when after contracting a service, the participants do not attend to purchase it, and a cancellation is not made 15 days in advance so that 100% of the value of the service is charged.

  • What should you keep in mind before and during the tour?

    - It is important to stay hydrated throughout the trek.
    - Minimize your garbage and deposit it in the indicated places.
    - To maintain a harmonious environment and support the care of the natural environment, it is vital to respect wildlife and local customs, therefore we invite you to leave the places you visit as you found them or better.
    - It is necessary to have a good physical condition, since the walks are from 7 to 8 hours a day.
    - Take all your electronic devices charged and, if possible, take a portable battery.
    - Take with you only what is necessary for 5 days, remember that it is a long walk.
    - Wear comfortable clothes and take into account the weather that is hot in the day and humid at night. It is important to wear long pants and long sleeved sweaters to sleep due to mosquitoes or insects.
    - Please keep in mind that this is an ecological destination with some adaptations in the accommodation, bathrooms and rest area to ensure a pleasant experience.
    - During the trip, follow the tour guide instructions at all times.
    In each camp there are stores where you can buy Gatorade, water, drinks and snacks.
    - You are responsible for your personal belongings. Please take care of them.
    It is prohibited: drugs, alcohol in excess, prostitution and bad behavior that threatens others.
    - Ciudad Perdida is closed throughout the month of September.

    Note: all travelers «including those of Colombian nationality» who travel to Ciudad Perdida, must present the negative result of the Covid-19 test with a maximum of 72 hours before starting the tour
